Studying the Bible can be hard and sometimes very overwhelming. Even when you think you know something about a subject or a story or a person in the Bible, you find out in short time that there is so much more to learn about that subject or story or person.
Let me hip you to something; you will never learn enough or all that the Bible has to offer. Put another way, the Bible is not like a dictionary or a novel that you can read from cover to cover and finally be done with it. The wisdom found in between the front and back covers of the Bible is beyond compare.
When you run in a 4×400 or in a 5K competition or a 100 yard race, you eventually end up all by yourself at the finish line, right? But the race we run as Christians is (a) not by ourselves and (b) is much like a very long marathon. Sure, you will get tired along the way, but don’t lose your focus. Stop and walk a little bit, rest when you need to do so but don’t get off of the path or turn back. Pray to God to help you along the way. Lord willing, you will eventually get to the finish line and when you do, paradise awaits. Do not give up reading, studying and meditating on the Word of GOD, even when it becomes overwhelming. Let GOD, who needs no sleep (PS 121:3-4), carry you through your spiritual journey. Just do not give up on Him.
