May the 4th be with you!
It is a Star Wars thing and a play on “May the Force be with you.”
The “Force” that we really need to have with us is the power, grace and mercy of God. Beyond any power that we think we have, we cannot save ourselves from the enemy, but God can. When we think that there is no possibility, know that anything is possible with God. When we think “I just don’t know…”, understand that God knows everything. When we feel like just giving up, we are reminded that at the end, keep on standing because God is already fighting the battle for us.
I often find myself up against a wall…then I remember David in
Psalm 17:37 where it reads, “And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, He will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and may the Lord be with you.””
