Anxious? For what reason?
As much as we say that God is in control of our lives, we have a funny way of showing it. Sure, we pray to Him for our needs, wants and desires but we do this almost as a formality. I say this because we often live a “I got this” lifestyle that all but includes God…well, until we are in trouble. Even then, we are so anxious of what the outcome will be even though we have “handed” over to the Father. If we have given our problems over to the Lord but then we are still trying to work it out ourselves, we are not trusting enough in Him.
He can do no wrong. He keeps His word. He is just and able to do or not to do whatever His will is to do or not to do.
We must trust Him more and worry less.
Stay prayed up, trusted in Him and be blessed knowing that “He’s got this!”

Like a vapor
Have you ever given much thought to the scripture above? Life…like a vapor? Here now, gone in the next few seconds. Vapor or smoke, billowing with so much potential, promising so much, gone with out much fanfare. When I am grilling or smoking meat, the smoke disappears not much after it makes its appearance. However, the smell of smoke is still lingering in my clothes, on my skin and in my hair. As much as I like to cook, I am ready get rid of the smoke smell through a shower for me and through washing my clothes immediately. This reminds me of what King Solomon said; “There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will there be any remembrance of things that are to come By those who will come after.”
(Ecclesiastes 1:11) Are we guilty of trying to get more out of a life that will be forgotten about when we are gone? I do not mean to belittle anyone’s life and I am not saying your life is meaningless. But it stands to be just that if God is not the center and leader of your life. Life is too short for us to just go about it like we will have another tomorrow…that is certainly not guaranteed. We would be fools to think that it is. Solomon tells us that
Let us not act as fools with our lives. God requires more from us and helps us to understand the true meaning of life:
“Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all.”
(Ecclesiastes 12:13)
